About the Magento 2 Project
Tarelgin Butchers are both long-standing customers of Web Age and a long-standing company selling high-quality meat from their rural location in Ayrshire, where they enjoy a strong local reputation.
We created their original website many years ago but time had caught up with it and the project we supplied this time around upgraded them onto a new Magento 2 e-commerce platform. That brings with it a host of benefits including improved administration, order management, customer experience and marketing tools.
We also organised a photo shoot with local photographer Gwen Yates Photography , who took the excellent photos for the site, and assisted with support to Tarelgin staff to help them start running the store.
About Tarelgin Butchers
Tarelgin Butchers operate their farm shop at West Tarelgin Farm, between the Ayrshire villages of Coylton and Ochiltree. Clearly the goal of the website is to bring their popular produce to a much wider audience. They are known for their haggis, quality Scotch beef, lamb and pork, fantastic steak pies and a new range of exciting ready-to-cook meals that can be found in their specials category. They are also famous for great value chicken, especially the bulk-buy chicken boxes. Customers from all over the UK also regularly enjoy their famous breakfast items, with everything in stock that you’d need for a full Scottish breakfast, from lorne sausage and pork links to black pudding and traditional Ayrshire bacon.
